In February 2018, we announced the completion of the
acquisition of Aclara Technologies LLC, a world-class supplier of smart infrastructure solutions (SIS) to water,
gas and electric utilities globally.
During the past year, we have focused on successfully integrating Aclara’s teams into our organization and ensuring a smooth transition for Aclara’s more than 800 electric, water and gas utility customers worldwide.
Aclara’s comprehensive suite of smart infrastructure solutions include advanced metering infrastructure, meters and edge devices, software and installation services. These products and services provide utilities with visibility into their distribution networks, enabling them to optimize network performance and engage with their customers.
Integration of Aclara’s solutions and strong customer relationships into our portfolio is helping us accelerate our ongoing innovation efforts to address the new expectations of utility customers. These include actionable insights that help utilities predict, plan and respond to conditions, improve operational efficiency and promote resource conservation with consumers.
With the addition of Aclara, Hubbell is even better positioned to serve customers through a differentiated smart grid solution and expanded portfolio. The $1.1 billion acquisition strengthens and broadens our competitive position, enabling us to deliver increased value to our customers and shareholders.
